Tour Details:

We will pick you up at your hotel in Hurghada; You will recognize our driver by the sign with your name in his hands. Throughout our journey to the north, we will make some stops so that you can admire and capture the beauty of the Egyptian landscape.

First of all, you will visit the ancient capital  of Memphis with its ruins, huge statues of Pharaoh Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. And then you will visit Saqqara, the ancient cemetery of Memphis, with its monumental tombs of different shapes and in huge numbers (flat, covered, rectangular). One of the most famous is undoubtedly  the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a monument that is more than 4600 years old. You will visit the tomb of King Djoser, which was built by his vizier and one of the greatest sages Imhotep, after whom the museum (Imhotep Museum) was named, where you will also definitely visit.

We will then take you to Dahshur, the royal necropolis, where there are numerous pyramids and tombs. The most impressive of these are those built by Pharaoh Sneferu. Sneferu wanted to create a concept for the construction of the pyramids, which today we call the “proper” pyramids. You’ll be shown  the Bent Pyramid (named for its bizarre shape), which the architect himself considered unsuccessful and so proceeded to his next masterpiece, the Pink Pyramid (the name comes from the color of the facing stone, which turns pink in the rays of the setting sun), which turned out to be a true masterpiece with a smooth surface. It is not only beautiful and well-preserved to this day, but to this day it carries many secrets, since it has not yet been determined to whom this tomb belongs. The Pink Pyramid is considered to be one of the largest pyramids,  However, it is inferior to the pyramids of Cheops and Chephren (by the way, the pyramids of the pharaoh’s son and grandson Snefer), one of the most famous pyramids in Giza.

The next pyramid you’ll see is the Black Pyramid, which is unfortunately very badly damaged, as the low location allowed water to seep into the walls and myriad corridors. These structural problems led to instability and the walls cracked. The spectacle of the pyramid itself is impressive (if a bit creepy), but it’s worth seeing.

After having lunch at one of the restaurants, you will continue your journey to the pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza. You will be amazed by one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which were built more than 4500 years ago and still hold the architectural secret of construction. Be sure to smile at Mr. Sphinx, who has the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. If you have the desire,  then you will be able to ride a camel, visit  the museum of the “Sun Boat”, where there is a piece of engineering art – the boat in which Pharaoh Cheops, the builder of the Great Pyramid, was supposed to sail in the afterlife.

In the evening you will drive back to your hotel in Hurghada.
