Felucca cruise “Luxor – Dendera – Luxor” (2 days and 1 night)

1st day: Luxor

We will meet you at your hotel, airport, train station or bus stop; You will recognize our driver by the sign with your name in his hands. He will take you to the pier, where the felucca will be waiting. The tour program will begin with a visit to the 3400-year-old colossus of Memnon, giant statues guarding the now-defunct temple, and you will also see the tombs of the pharaohs with colored drawings in the Valley of the Kings. Then you will go to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who created it for herself of extraordinary architecture, with columns, a hypostyle hall and many statues, paintings and bas-reliefs. After lunch, you will visit the East Bank of Luxor with its Karnak Temple, which is one of the largest and most famous temples, quite well preserved with giant columns and colored reliefs, thanks to the architecture of which you can feel the religious cult of the ancient Egyptians.  The evening is completely at your disposal. Dinner on board.

2nd day: Dendera

In the morning, you’ll head to your second destination: Dendera. The temple of the Ptolemaic period, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, is one of the best-preserved sanctuaries. After walking a little, you will discover the walls covered with scenes from ancient Egyptian history. Climbing to the roof by the stairs that ancient priests used 2000 years ago, you will see the ornaments of the New Year’s procession Hathor on the landing. After this visit, you will have a relaxing journey on board back to Luxor.

After the end of the tour and your arrival, we will take you back to your hotel, airport, train station or bus stop. This concludes our excursion program.
