Aswan-Esna felucca cruise (5 days and 4 nights)

Day 1: Aswan

We will meet you at your hotel, airport, train station or bus stop; You will recognize our driver by the sign with your name in his hands. He will take you to the pier, where the felucca will be waiting. The excursion program will begin with a visit to the gigantic High Dam of the Aswan High Dam, the greatest achievement in the field of architecture and technology of the 20th century.  and the Unfinished Obelisk, ancient granite left in quarries. You will then take a walk to the Temple of Filai, which was saved from extinction by the flood of Lake Nasser by dismantling it and restoring it to a higher place.

2nd day: Aswan

Today we invite you to pay attention to the charming landscape and the life of ordinary Egyptians. From the board you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river, fields, farms and settlements. We will make stops and you will be able to walk around and see the real life of the Egyptians, away from the temples and tourist areas.

3rd day: Darau Market – Kom Ombo

Today you will go to Darau, where you can plunge into the atmosphere of a real Arabian market. In such markets, you can find everything your heart desires. Darau is famous for its cattle market, which takes place once a week. Next, you will visit the amazing temple of Kom Ombo, also known as the “double temple”. The temple was dedicated to two different deities – the crocodile (dedicated to the god Sobek) and the falcon (dedicated to the god Haroeris).

Day 4: Edfu

The Temple of Edfu will be your stop today. It is the best-preserved of Egypt’s ancient temples, both inside and out. It was built in Ptolemaic times and its construction lasted almost 200 years. It was the largest temple dedicated to the god Horus with the head of a falcon and Hathor. Its walls are not only beautifully decorated, but are also a rich source for historians and archaeologists.  how they give the most complete information about the construction of the temple, as well as about the religion and myths of the Greco-Roman period.

Day 5: Esna and Luxor

In the morning you will drive to Esna, where you will visit the remains of a beautiful temple from the Greco-Roman period, with magnificent columns with various lotus leaves and a pronaos decorated with beautiful reliefs.

At this point, your felucca cruise will end and in a comfortable car you will go to Luxor, where you will visit the Temple of Karnak, which is one of the largest and most famous temples, quite well preserved with giant columns and colored reliefs, thanks to the architecture of which you can feel the religious cult of the ancient Egyptians.

At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel, airport, train station or bus stop. This concludes our excursion program.
